At the start of 2025, PT Swarnadwipa Dermaga Jaya (SDJ) encouraged all employees, contractors, and partners across TITAN’s work area
to actively participate in the National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month, held from January 12 to February 12.
This initiative aims to strengthen synergy and raise awareness of safe, healthy, and harmonious work environments for all.
Focus on Human Resources Capacity Building
The 2025 theme is:
“Strengthening Human Resource Capacity in Supporting OHS Management System to Boost Productivity.”
This reflects the importance of building workforce capabilities to ensure effective OHS implementation and improved workplace productivity.
While OHS Month is a routine agenda, it must not become a mere formality.
It is a time for reflection, performance improvement, and adaptation to current trends and regulations.
The mining sector, like many others, faces rapid changes—including new national policies that directly impact industrial relations and safety standards.
Message from the OHS Ceremony Inspector
“We don’t just build safe workplaces,” said Mr. Muhammad Salim Wantapao,
representing the OHS Ceremony Inspector.
“We also drive productivity and ensure business sustainability.”
The organizing committee launched various campaigns, safety info sessions, and competitions throughout the month to boost engagement.
OHS is an investment—not a cost—towards a better, more sustainable future.
A Shared Responsibility
Let’s use this moment as a turning point.
By strengthening human resource capacity, we shape a safer and more productive Indonesia.
As Sir Brian Appleton once said:
“Safety is not an intellectual exercise. It’s a matter of life or death.”
“Our commitment to safety determines whether people live or die.”
Blood Donation Drive Highlights OHS Month
As part of the celebrations, SDJ partnered with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) PALI for a blood donation event.
Held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the SDJ office,
the drive welcomed enthusiastic participants from SDJ and its partners.
The donation helps ensure blood supplies for those in need in the PALI region and beyond.
“This reflects our commitment to social responsibility,” said Dr. Chindy Tri Andini, representing PMI PALI.
SDJ expressed gratitude to PMI PALI for their support.
The company hopes to continue this program regularly in the future.
