PT Bara Anugerah Sejahtera (BAS), supports the Pulau Panggung Village farmer group. This initiative aims to improve agricultural productivity and community welfare in Tanjung Agung, Muara Enim.
Land Provision for Farmer Group
To show its commitment, BAS provides 14 hectares of land for farming. The land is suitable for vegetables and fast-harvest crops, offering quick economic benefits to local residents.

This support is expected to enhance Pulau Panggung’s agricultural sector. It also opens new income opportunities for farmers.
This program represents a synergy between the company and the local community in utilizing land productively to support the village economy.
Gardening Opportunities for Local Residents
The land lies within BAS’s production mining permit area, specifically in Block 1. BAS and the farmer group formalized the partnership through an MoU signed on February 5, 2025, at the village office. The signing was witnessed by the village government, who expressed gratitude for BAS’s contribution.
According to H. Akwam, BAS CDER Department, “The land hasn’t been used for mining, so we let nearby residents farm it.” This reflects synergy between the company and local community to make unused land productive.
Contents of the Land Utilization Agreement
In this agreement, the First Party is PT Bara Anugerah Sejahtera, and the Second Party is the Farmer Group.
Key points of the agreement include:

The First Party has informed the Second Party that the land has been released by the First Party.

The Second Party acknowledges that the land being cultivated belongs to the First Party and has been officially released.

The First Party’s land may be used by the Second Party as a food source for residents in need, as long as it is not being used by the First Party.

Both parties agree that the cultivated land is part of a food security-based Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program, with commodities including vegetables and short-harvest crops.

The Second Party is prohibited from planting long-lifespan trees or permanent crops, as well as from constructing any permanent buildings on the land.

The First Party reserves the right to monitor agricultural activities conducted by the Second Party as part of the PPM program oversight.

If the First Party requires the land, the Second Party must relinquish it without any claims or compensation for crops on the land.

Pulau Panggung Village Head, Syafri, shared his appreciation. “We thank BAS for supporting our farmers. This land helps improve production and create sustainable income.”
