As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, PT Bara Anugerah Sejahtera (PT BAS), operating in Pulau Panggung Village, continued its efforts to support local communities during Ramadan 1446 H.
After distributing aid to six villages in Tanjung Agung District, the company extended its Ramadan charity program to Darmo Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency.
Food Packages for Communities in Need
On Thursday, March 13, 2025, PT BAS delivered 42 food aid packages containing rice and cooking oil to support residents along the Sumatra highway in Darmo Village.
The aid was received by Arif Budiman, representative of the local youth organization (Karang Taruna), who expressed his gratitude:
“This assistance means a lot, especially with rising food prices. We truly appreciate PT BAS’s concern and hope such programs continue.”
Supporting Religious and Educational Initiatives
In addition to food assistance, PT BAS also contributed to Safari Ramadan events in support of local religious activities.
The company donated to the upcoming Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration on March 17, 2025,
at Masjid Attaqwa, Keban Agung Village, featuring Sheikh Yasser Ammar Burhum, Grand Imam from Damascus, Syria.
“We are thankful for PT BAS’s donation to this important spiritual event,”
said Adi Saputra, Head of Karang Taruna Lawang Kidul.
The company also supports education by partnering with Enim Ekspres Daily,
for a scientific writing competition for high school students across Muara Enim.
This initiative, now in its second year, aims to foster critical thinking, literacy, and creativity,
particularly around scientific themes related to Ramadan.
“We’re grateful for PT BAS’s CSR in advancing local education,” stated Sigit Eko Raharjo of Enim Ekspres.
Addressing Child Nutrition
PT BAS also contributes to child health by providing milk supplies for toddlers facing stunting in Keban Agung Village.
Dewanti, representing Village Head Fajrol Bahri, acknowledged the impact:
“This aid greatly supports nutritional needs for our children. We thank PT BAS and hope for their continued success.”
