PT Firman Ketaun is a holder of coal exploitation license issued by the Regent of North Bengkulu. All of company’s business activities were carried out by PT Cakra Bumi Pertiwi and it’s sub-contractors, PT Caipta Kridatama and PT Bina Bara Sejahtera.
In 2015, PT Firman Ketaun/PT Cakra Bumi Pertiwi is appointed for the third time by the Ministry of Environment through the Environmental Agency of Bengkulu province to participate in Performance Rating Arrangement in Environmental Management (PROPER) together with other affiliated companies in the region of Bengkulu with a variety of industry sectors, among others are plantations, mining, ports, hospitals, hotels, and others.
PT Cakra Bumi Pertiwi as a responsible field operations along with it’s sub sub-contractors, PT Caipta Kridatama and PT Bina Bara Sejahtera, accompanied by PT Firman Ketaun continue to reform and implement monitoring programs and environmental management.
The programs are implementing mining form in Good Mining Practice way (controlling acid mine drainage, final land management with a covered soil, conducting a reclamation of 15 Ha as planned, carry out regular monitoring of the emissions test for generator, samples test of waste water of settling pond, and Toxic Substances Hazardous management).
In the process of Performance Rating Arrangement in Environmental Management, PT Firman Ketaun/PT Cakra Bumi Pertiwi obtained Predikat Biru for the third time at this year of 2015, which means that the company has been abiding for conducting an environmental management efforts that required according to the applied provisions or regulations. In the previous PROPER, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 period, PT Firman Ketaun/PT Cakra Bumi Pertiwi obtained Predikat Merah.
